Haleon joins the Sustainable Medicines Partnership
YewMaker, the executive lead of the Sustainable Medicines Partnership (SMP), is announcing that Haleon has joined as a founding Collaborator.
The SMP is a not-for-profit private-public collaboration executing projects to make the use of medicines more sustainable and less wasteful.
Haleon is a global leader in consumer health, with brands trusted by millions of consumers globally.
Aiming to reduce the environmental impact of its operations, Haleon’s sustainability ambitions include a target to develop solutions to reduce their use of virgin petroleum-based plastic by 10% by 2025 and 1/3 by 2030 and for all product packaging to be recycle-ready by 2025, a key milestone towards making all their packaging recyclable or reusable by 2030.
In its collaboration with the SMP, Haleon will focus on recycling and integrating rejected content into blister packs.
