World Packaging Organisation joins the Sustainable Medicines Partnership
YewMaker, the executive lead of the Sustainable Medicines Partnership (SMP), is announcing that the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) has joined as a founding Collaborator.
The SMP is a not-for-profit private-public collaboration executing projects to make the use of medicines more sustainable and less wasteful.
The WPO is a non-profit, non-governmental, international federation of national packaging institutes, associations and interested parties, promoting education and excellence in packaging.
“The collaboration the World Packaging Organisation has formed with the SMP is key to the development of more sustainable pharmaceutical packaging. Pharmaceuticals are major global users of packaging. By working together, WPO and SMP can bring awareness and drive innovation to make medicines packaging more sustainable.”
In its collaboration with the SMP, the WPO will be endorsing the new SMP Awards within the WorldStar Packaging Awards program.
