NW Greener NHS joins the Sustainable Medicines Partnership
YewMaker, the executive lead of the Sustainable Medicines Partnership (SMP), is announcing that NW Greener NHS has joined as a founding Collaborator.
The SMP is a not-for-profit private-public collaboration executing projects to make the use of medicines more sustainable and less wasteful.
NW Greener NHS is part of the NHS England North West regional team and is one of seven regional teams supporting with the delivery of the Greener NHS Programme. A programme responsible for driving forward the system’s world-leading commitment to deliver a net zero health service by 2040.
In its collaboration with the SMP, NW Greener NHS will support Projects to measure the carbon footprint of medicines and to identify opportunities for optimising medicines use to reduce waste of usable medicines.
